As you know Austen has a long history in F1, so he was of course the prefect choice to assist for behind the scenes fabrication and expertise on the Brad Pitt, Lewis Hamilton F1 Movie Apex.

Lotus 49 Build and Fabrication

The Lotus 49 was a Formula One racing car designed by Colin Chapman and Maurice Philippe for the 1967 F1 season. It was designed around the Cosworth DFV engine that would power most of the Formula One grid through the 1970s. Austen has carried out extensive work on the 49 and many other classic and modern racing projects, completing the work above and beyond original hand built OEM standards.

Here you can see the 49 in action, displaying the quality of fabrication in action. In particular the exhaust and oil tank are well displayed. See below for closer views of the work.
